Dana Cosby, Ph.D., GPHR, CCP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Dana Cosby is a Strategic Human Resources Advisor at HRD Strategies – Bowling Green, Kentucky. Dana’s experience includes leadership roles in both private and public sectors. She held an executive role with a billion dollar multi-national organization with oversight for a number of corporate functions, including strategic planning, change management, risk management, compensation and benefits, training and organizational development, employee communications, and governmental affairs. She is currently on faculty with the Management Department at WKU’s Gordon Ford College of Business.
Dr. Cosby holds a PhD with an emphasis in Human Resources Development from the University of Louisville. In addition, she holds a Master’s in Organizational Communication from Western Kentucky University, the designations of SHRM-SCP, SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources designations through the national Society for Human Resource Management), GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) and CCP (Certified Compensation Professional – designation earned through the national World at Work organization).
Her consulting work includes corporate start-up and restructuring, job analysis, competency model design and performance management, technical and soft skills curriculum development and training, management recruitment and coaching.
Dr. Cosby is a member of the international Society for Human Resource Management and World at Work. She is a member of the local Southern Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management chapter, where she has served as a member of the board of directors. She is also a graduate of Leadership Bowling Green and has served on a number of non-profit boards, including United Way of South Central Kentucky, Barren River Child Advocacy Center, the International Center, the Warren County-Bowling Green International Festival, and Plum Tree Montessori School.
